Exclusive Woolen Coat "Red Riding Hood"
We intended this coat as an illustration for the Grimms' fairy tales - slightly romantic and enchanting and at this time impressive and realistic.
The woolen slim fit coat has descending silhuette: in front its length reaches the knee while at the rear goes almost to the ankle.
The coat is tight in the bust and in the waist but rapidly widens at the hips level. Its silhouette refers simultaneously to two historical prototypes - gothic dresses of the late middle ages and bouffant skirts of the baroque. The medieval theme traces in tight fit bodice with the low waistline, in the long fabulously narrow fake sleeves, in the leaf-shaped turn-back of the short upper sleeve, in the tiny engraved metal buttoning with loop buttonholes and in the stylistics of the embroidery and applique pattern. At the same time full skirt gathered at the hips associates with the dresses from the illustrated fairy tales - that is baroque or even rococo. Besides both prominency and wealth of pattern is typical for the costumes of the later period.( more beautiful photosCollapse )
